About Svaroopa® Yoga and Hatha Yoga

During the week retreat, you’ll learn Svaroopa® yoga, a simple and slow yogic practice that helps you to release your spine and apply these deeper release to your whole life. Svaroopa yoga is Hatha yoga, with self-effort involved. This is a path of both self-effort and grace, says Swami Nirmalananda, founder of Svaroopa.

Self-effort is very important: you must apply yourself to the practices. Yet, on a path of Grace, you have to remember to make space for something more to happen. This is what Svaroopa yoga excels at and why it is the best yoga for retreat, especially for the mental health relief it provides.
