Embracing Shadow: A Healing Retreat for Women
September 30, 2027 @ 2:00 pm – October 5, 2027 @ 11:00 am

Peel away layers of societal expectations and personal armor to reveal your sweet, magical Soul during this healing retreat for women in peaceful Island Falls, Maine. Inspired by a centuries-old myth — The Descent of Inanna — we’ll use guided journeys, along with movement, art, and ritual, to discover and loosen our old layers of being. Once that happens, we’ll be able to hear the wisdom of our shadows and step through the gateway of transformation.

About the Sessions
Somatic Movement will play with low-to-the-ground, self-directed, non-linear, fluid motion, to encourage connection to internal cues and strengthen the mind-body connection. It’s a way of movement that encourages freedom from preconceived notions and fixed patterns. Somatic movement allows for embodied connection and release of tension.
Breathwork is a somatic practice that combines a specific conscious breath pattern with evocative, rhythmic music to induce a state of relaxation and open awareness.
Journaling will guide participants through a creative process of releasing, transforming, and igniting new energy, and documenting that process in a personal journal.
